What release formats does Studio support?

The two campaign modes Studio runs, which formats work, how surprise drops fit, and what rides along with the record.

Written by Andrea Torres

Studio supports two modes: a standard release, or a pre-order with exclusive early tracks. Both run on albums and EPs. Standalone singles aren't part of the format for now, and surprise drops work in either mode.

Standard release

The album goes on sale on the artist's storefront and fans get the whole record when they buy. No early window, no staged unlock. It suits campaigns where the point is the direct sale and the fan data behind it rather than a run-up to street date.

Pre-order with exclusive early tracks

The fan buys the album before release day and selected tracks unlock immediately, only on the artist's storefront. The rest unlocks automatically on release day. There is a separate article on how that model works, including how many tracks can come early on a chart-eligible campaign and what locks once pre-orders open.

Surprise drops

You can run a drop with no pre-order window at all. Your EVEN team builds the site and holds it until the moment you announce.

What rides along with the release

Bonus tracks with their own artwork attach to the release as exclusives, so an exclusive edition can sit alongside the standard album. Merch, video, documents, galleries, and events attach too, each with its own price. On chart campaigns only the initial album checkout reports, so add-on items don't affect eligibility.

What gets decided per campaign

Pricing is either pay-what-you-want with a minimum you set, or fixed. Access is either streaming-only or streaming with downloads, and DRM or DRM-free is your call. How much music comes early, and whether it unlocks all at once or staggered, is set per campaign inside the chart rules. Your EVEN team configures all of it during setup, and nothing publishes without your sign-off.
