Variants are fully supported on a chart campaign. Per variant pricing, limited runs, signed editions, and purchase limits all work. The one thing to plan around is the four variant D2C exclusive cap, which your EVEN team maps during setup so the plan stays chart safe.
What you can put on sale
You can put vinyl variants, CDs, and soft goods on sale, with limited editions, signed copies, and one per customer rules where you want them. Each variant carries its own price, so a signed edition or a colored pressing is not forced to match the standard price. Limited runs and purchase limits are set per variant, which is what keeps a small pressing spread across fans instead of going to a handful of buyers.
The four variant cap
A release can carry four D2C exclusive variants. The cap is mapped during setup rather than discovered halfway through, so the campaign is built inside the rule from the start. Your EVEN team does that mapping with you as the release plan comes together.
Options within a product
Merch products can also carry options such as size and color. The fan picks at purchase, and the choice comes through with the order so fulfillment ships the right thing.
Stock and territory
Inventory syncs in real time against your store of record, so a variant that sells out is not still on sale on the site. Oversell cannot happen. Availability is controlled per product, with geo-blocking and per territory availability, and a campaign can route across multiple Shopify stores by territory.
Changing variants once you are live
Pricing, products, and content can all change while the campaign is live. Chart sensitive changes route through your EVEN team so chart bodies stay notified. If you are not sure whether a change counts as chart sensitive, ask in the shared campaign thread before making it.
