Can we sell vinyl, CDs, and merch on a Studio site?

Vinyl, CDs, and merch on the Studio site, who fulfills, how inventory syncs with Shopify, and how physical works on a chart campaign.

Written by Andrea Torres

Yes, a Studio site can sell vinyl variants, CDs, and soft goods, with per-variant pricing, limited editions, signed copies, and one-per-customer rules where you want them.

Who fulfills

Fulfillment is always the partner side: the label's merch arm, a 3PL, an artist-side supplier, or your own team using EVEN's order tooling. EVEN never covers or runs shipping. Major-label merch arms already ship live EVEN campaigns today, so this is a well-worn path rather than a workaround.

Keeping your existing partner

Keeping your existing partner is recommended. Your partner runs the campaign and fulfillment as the client-facing operator, EVEN runs the rails underneath. Nobody has to migrate a fulfillment stack to launch a Studio.

Order management

Orders come through with shipping details and any customization choices. Your team can view, export, and manage them, update statuses, and add tracking numbers, and those changes show up in the fan's account automatically.

Inventory

Inventory syncs in real time against your store of record, with geo-blocking and per-territory availability per product. A custom EVEN app per store gives inventory sync and order routing, campaigns can route across multiple Shopify stores by territory, and Export for Shopify is built into the merch dashboard. Keeping Shopify as the source of truth is what stops oversell during a spike.

Shipping, duties, and taxes

Shipping is the partner's: regions, rates, and handling fees are set and covered per campaign by you or your fulfillment partner, never by EVEN. EVEN handles sales tax and VAT globally as merchant of record. Customs duties and import fees on international orders are set by the destination country and sit with the fan, unless the campaign prices them in.

On a chart campaign

Physical reports under the chart rules for physical product. Exclusive early track access attaches to digital albums only and can't be offered with a physical purchase. Variants are fully supported, and the four-variant D2C exclusive cap is mapped during setup so the plan stays chart-safe.
