Who handles fulfillment and shipping?

How fulfillment works on a Studio campaign, why shipping always sits on the partner side, and how to keep the merch partner you already use.

Written by Andrea Torres

Fulfillment and shipping always sit on the partner side. EVEN never covers or runs shipping. The Studio site takes the order and passes it through clean, and someone on your side picks, packs, and ships it.

Who can fulfill a Studio campaign

Three setups all work. The label's merch arm or 3PL. An artist side supplier. Or your own team, working the orders directly in EVEN's order tooling. This is a well travelled path: major label merch arms already ship live EVEN campaigns today.

Keeping your existing fulfillment or D2C partner

You can keep them, and that is the recommendation. Your partner runs the campaign and fulfillment as the client facing operator, and EVEN runs the rails underneath. Real time inventory sync keeps your Shopify as the source of truth, so oversell cannot happen.

The order tooling your team gets

Orders arrive in a queue with statuses and tracking. Your EVEN team sets the merch dashboard up during onboarding, and your fulfillment team works from it. The order table shows each fan's shipping details and any options they picked, such as size and colour. Statuses can be changed on a single order or in bulk. Tracking numbers and tracking links can be added as parcels go out, and what your team updates is what the fan sees in their account. Orders can be exported, and Export for Shopify is built into the dashboard.

What EVEN covers, and what stays with you

Shipping regions, rates, and handling fees are set and covered per campaign by you or your fulfillment partner, never by EVEN. EVEN handles sales tax and VAT globally as merchant of record. EVEN also answers fan questions about orders and shipping, so your fulfillment team is not fielding fan email while a drop is running.

Setting it up

Your EVEN team maps the fulfillment side during setup: who is operating the campaign, and which stores and territories orders route to. Bring your fulfillment partner in early, since that is who the setup gets built around.
