These are three separate things and they are worth keeping apart. Shipping is always the partner's. Sales tax and VAT are EVEN's. Customs duties and import fees are set by the destination country and sit with the fan unless the campaign prices them in.
Shipping
Shipping regions, rates, and handling fees are set and covered per campaign by you or your fulfillment partner, never by EVEN. EVEN never covers or runs shipping. The Studio site collects the order and the fan's shipping details, and your fulfillment side ships it. Shipping regions are set per release and shown at checkout, so a fan can see before buying whether their country is served.
Sales tax and VAT
EVEN handles sales tax and VAT globally as merchant of record. That sits on EVEN's side of the transaction, so it is not something your team or your fulfillment partner has to configure per market.
Customs duties and import fees
Customs duties and import fees are set by the destination country. They are not EVEN's and not your fulfillment partner's, and they sit with the fan unless the campaign prices them in. Fans are told at checkout that duties or import fees may be charged by their country at delivery and are not included unless stated. If you want duties covered in a given market, that has to be priced into the campaign, so raise it with your EVEN team during setup.
Controlling where products sell
Availability is controlled per product, with geo-blocking and per territory availability. A campaign can also route across multiple Shopify stores by territory, so an order lands with the operation that covers that market. Regional pricing and territory minimums are supported, with local currencies and local payment rails per market.
Digital is simpler
None of the physical logistics apply to digital. Digital releases are available nearly everywhere, in 140 currencies.
