Do fans need to download an app?

Covers the homescreen install, passwordless sign-in, and what fans can reach on an EVEN-powered site without downloading anything.

Written by Andrea Torres

No app download is required. Every EVEN-powered site is also a downloadable app. Fans install the artist's site straight to their homescreen, and it runs like a native app from there.

The site is the app

There is no separate product for a fan to go and find. The site the artist launches is the same thing a fan installs, and the install happens from that site rather than from an app store. A fan who never installs it still gets everything by opening the site in a browser.

Sign-in is a one-time code

Sign-in is a one-time code by text or email. There are no passwords to create, remember, or reset. That is one less step between a fan and the release, and one less reason for a fan to write in.

Nothing to buy to get in

Fans join with a free account. Community chat is free on every EVEN release, with no purchase necessary. That is deliberate, and it also keeps promotional offerings eligible for charting.

What lives inside it

The site holds whatever the campaign turns on. The Feed, Content, and Livestreams modules let the artist post updates, drop exclusive content, and go live on their own site. Tour dates, presale signups, and hotel booking sit there too when the Touring module is running. It is one destination on the artist's domain rather than a set of links out to other platforms.

Fans stay in control of updates

Text and email updates are separate, and fans control both. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Use the unsubscribe link in any email to stop emails. Stopping one does not stop the other, and messages are never a condition of buying anything.
