Unique per-fan codes go out by text and email when the tour goes live, and are redeemed at the ticketer. No public codes float around on social, which is how bots and brokers stay out.
How a fan gets one
Fans sign up on the artist's site before the tour goes live. When it goes live, their code arrives by text and email with instructions for the ticketer. The code is unique to that fan, and it goes only to fans who signed up.
Why nothing is posted publicly
A code posted on social is a code anyone can use, and that includes bots and brokers. Per-fan delivery closes that off. Every code belongs to one person, so a code that leaks is one code rather than the whole presale.
When a code does not work
There are three things to check, in order. That the fan is on the right ticketer page for their show and date. That the code is entered exactly as sent. That they are using their own code, since codes are unique to each fan. If it still fails, the fan emails [email protected] with the code and the show, and EVEN handles it rather than the artist's team fielding it.
Waitlists after a show sells out
Waitlists are part of the module. When a date sells out, fans open that date on the tour page and join its waitlist, and they get notified as spots open. The waitlist is per date, so a fan waiting on one night is not waiting on the whole tour, and you can see the demand sitting behind a sold-out show.
What the signup gives the campaign
The presale signup is where the data comes from. Presale signups are one of the segments you can message directly, from the Marketing tab or pushed into your CRM, and Touring connects to the CRM and presale stack your team already uses.
