How does EVEN prevent bulk buying, bots, and duplicate purchases?

One transaction per fan, enforced at several layers, with customer breakouts available to chart bodies on request.

Written by Andrea Torres

EVEN enforces one transaction per fan rather than simply asking for it. Clean sales are the design of the platform, not a feature bolted on for chart campaigns.

The layers

Card fingerprinting catches the same payment method being reused across accounts. One-time-code sign-in on every account means no passwords and no bulk account creation. reCAPTCHA and email verification filter automated traffic. Bulk screening runs across the campaign to catch patterns that clear each individual check but don't hold up together.

Why redemption matters here

Pre-orders count at redemption, which is the fan's first play or download on or after street date. A purchase that nobody ever listens to doesn't become a reported unit. That single mechanic makes bulk buying pointless in a way that purchase-side rules alone never quite manage.

What chart bodies can see

Customer breakouts are available to Luminate, Billboard, and OCC on request. If a campaign performs unusually well, the data behind it holds up to inspection, and EVEN holds the direct relationships to provide it.

Chargebacks and fraud

Chargebacks net out of reporting and payouts automatically, and EVEN fights them as merchant of record. Suspected fraudulent claims are refunded promptly to keep the campaign's data clean.

Presales

Presales follow the same principle with tour codes: unique per verified fan, delivered privately by text and email, never posted publicly where brokers can scrape them.
