What is Top Fans and how is the score built?

The four inputs behind the Top Fans score, why the leaderboard names individual fans, how you reach those fans later, and where you can export the underlying data.

Written by Andrea Torres

Top Fans is a superfan leaderboard on the Studio dashboard. It scores every fan on spend, listening, community activity and loyalty, so your team knows who the top fans are, by name.

The four inputs

Four things feed the score: spend, listening, community activity and loyalty. They all roll into one leaderboard, so the ranking shows you more than what a fan paid. EVEN scores every fan and not only the ones near the top, so the list underneath covers your whole fanbase.

Individual fans on the leaderboard

Top Fans gives you a list of named people. Fans on an EVEN campaign hold real accounts, created with a free sign-up and a one-time code sent by text or email. Every place on the leaderboard is a person the artist can contact.

Measured across the whole fanbase

Community chat is free to join on every EVEN release, with a free account and no purchase necessary. That means you see community activity from your whole fanbase, not only from the people who bought something. Alongside Top Fans, Smart Segments give you audiences built from how fans actually behave on the page, ready to target as they are.

Turning the list into a message

Top spenders are one of the segments you can message directly, either from the Marketing tab or after pushing them into your CRM. Fan Connect handles the send: email is free, SMS is $0.01 per text, and WhatsApp is available for global territories. You can reach the same fans again later, so a superfan you spot during a release is still reachable when the merch drops and when the tour goes on sale.

Where the data goes

You can move the data into your own systems. Fan data flows into your CRM through the API and the CRM integrations, and the consent chain travels with it, so opt-outs stay honored everywhere the data goes. When a campaign or partnership ends you can export everything, and fan accounts and purchases stay in place so fans keep what they bought.
