Who communicates with Billboard, Luminate, and OCC?

Which conversations with chart bodies belong to EVEN, which stay with the label, and how much notice a campaign needs.

Written by Andrea Torres

The split is clean. EVEN owns the data and reporting relationship, and the label owns campaign and marketing communication.

What EVEN handles

EVEN holds the direct relationships with Luminate, Billboard, and OCC, registers the campaign, submits the data, and answers questions about the numbers. If a chart body asks for customer breakouts to verify a campaign, EVEN provides them.

What the label handles

Campaign narrative, marketing plans, and the conversations that go with a major release stay on the label side. EVEN reporting on your sales does not replace your own relationships with chart and trade press.

How much notice to give

EVEN's standard is 14 days. The campaign is registered with Luminate and Billboard, and flagged to OCC, before offers go live. Expected volume and marketing drivers should be documented from the label side, and your EVEN team will tell you exactly what to send.

Line both sides up together

Getting the data registration and the label's own outreach on the same timeline is part of campaign setup rather than an afterthought. A big campaign that surprises a chart body is a worse position than the same campaign flagged three weeks out.

If the rules change mid-campaign

Campaigns are built inside the current rules, and EVEN holds the direct relationships, so when rules change we adjust the campaign to the new requirements at no cost to your team.
